The Secret Wealth of Those Who Desire Little
“Wealth consists not in having great possessions, but in having few wants.” — Epictetus
Intention: Today, as I strive for more, I intend not to diminish what I already have. Epictetus shifts abundance from external accumulation to internal measure. True prosperity is not just about the number of things we possess, but the grace of not being dependent on them. Someone who has a lot but always feels lacking can remain poor; someone who has little but has a generous heart can live richly. This is not about renouncing the world, but about not holding onto the world with fear. Possessions, money, success, and applause come and go; but contentment is a person's inner treasure. Today, try to become richer without buying anything: let go of a burden, express gratitude, share an excess. Blessings sometimes come not in the form of multiplication, but as lightness.
