Guard Your Judgment Before the Evil Eye
“It is not things that disturb us, but our judgment about them.” — Epictetus
Intention: Today, I intend to observe the meaning I give to events before magnifying them. Epictetus says that the greatest sanctuary for a person is their mind. Sometimes we seek protection from external negativity; however, the fearful interpretation within has already pierced our energy. Protection is not just about avoiding the evil eye, but about cleansing our own perspective. An event can be bad; but what often turns it into a disaster is the mind's hasty judgment. Today, when you encounter a problem, don't immediately say, "Why me?" First, ask: "How else can I look at this?" Perhaps luck is not in the event changing; it's in your courage to change its meaning.
