Permit Before Title Deed: The Self You Inhabit
“Nowhere can man find a quieter or more untroubled retreat than in his own soul.” — Marcus Aurelius
Intention: Today, I intend to build within myself the security I seek outside. Marcus Aurelius states that the greatest refuge is one's own soul. This saying deepens the idea of property: Home is our external address; inner peace is our true dwelling. A title deed provides security, but it cannot silence every worry. Walls protect, but if one is fleeing from oneself, no room is wide enough. Home begins where the inner voice calms. As you organize your home today, organize yourself: remove an unnecessary item, soften a harsh thought, air out an old resentment. Because the most valuable possession is the self in which you can live in peace.
